Spring Break Week

I love Spring!  It is my most favorite season!  I took the kids to the library this morning.  I snapped these awesome pictures while I was there in the parking lot.

We have blue sky and no rain!  I am so excited!

And a close up of the beautiful spring blossoms!

This is our beautiful green grass in the backyard.  I wish our front yard was as green and as beautiful as this!  I think the teens need to get the mower to work and mow the lawn!

A local farm close by home.

A rainbow for me is always a little piece of Heaven.  This was taken driving down the freeway this past weekend.

Just a little bit of home for me.  Home being the greater Seattle/Tacoma area.

Have a great Spring Break week.  What are you going to do with kids this week while they are out of school?

Lucky Penny & Wood Craft

Happy Monday to you all!  I hope you had a great weekend!  Mine was busy finishing up school work and spending time with family.  I know nothing exciting!

This is the front!  Here's the back!

The block is also turned on the side!  Everything was cut out with the Cricut.  I also made these lucky penny candle.

The candle craft was Pintrest inspired.  You can find this lucky penny craft here.  Just remember it is inspired.  When I used double stick tape it didn't work for me, the pennies fell off.  I tried something else but can't remember what it was. I ended up using super glue gel to get the pennies stick to the glass.  I need to make this craft for me since this was for my craft swap and went to my friend Jennie in Georgia.

Hope you all have an awesome Monday!

Craft Groove for St. Patty's Day

I've been staying busy with school work, for the kids and me, and trying to do some crafts.  I joined a craft swap with a St. Patty's day theme the beginning of the year.  I have absolutely loved seeing everyone's crafts they have made.  Here's what I made.

This is one of those hang-over-the-oven-handle towels.  The towel itself came from The Dollar Tree, both fabrics came from JoAnn's and the ribbon too.  This was a Pintrest inspired project that I started last year.  They are really easy to make.

Cute huh? These are microfiber towels.  Don't heat the iron up too hot to press the fabric once it's been sewed.  The heat will melt the towel!

Looks like the oven needs some cleaning!  I made a few other things, a wood & scrapbook craft and a lap quilt.  I will share those in another post.

What have you made or doing for St. Patty's day?
